Meditation and mindfulness go hand in hand. Because meditation acts relaxing, it can help you enormously to start your day with a mindful awareness, and sustain that mindful state throughout your day. You only need 5-10 minutes of meditation to start noticing notable changes in your mood.

Those who practice mindfulness are less likely to react to things in a way that would provoke unhealthy emotions. Instead, mindfulness keeps your awareness calm and engaged-- without the need to judge, doubt, or respond to everything that makes a tiny amount of change in your emotional body.

Mindfulness is about becoming fully conscious of what is happening around you, and most importantly, within you. Instead than being overly obsessed with what happened in the past, or what might happen in the future-- mindfulness invites you to experience the present moment as is.
